Facts About ISO Certification

The ISO Certification can be a useful tool for your organization to add credibility, by demonstrating that your services or product meets your customer expectation. For some organization ISO Certification is legal or contractual requirement.




ISO does not perform ISO Certification

At ISO, they develop International standards, such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001 etc.but they are not involved in there certification process, and do not issue certificates to the organization. This is performed by the external certification bodies, thus a company or organization can not be certified by ISO.

However ISO’s committee  on conformity assessment (CASCO) has produced a number of standard related to the ISO Certification process, which are by ISO Certification bodies.

Displaying your Certificate

Remember, when labeling a product or system as certified to an ISO Standard:

Don’t Say: “ISO Certified” or “ISO Certification”

Do Say: “ISO 9001:2015 Certified” or “ISO 9001:2015 Certification

Can I use the ISO Logo

The ISO logo is a registered trademark and can not be used by outside ISO, unless authorized. If you want to use a logo to demonstrate Certification, the contact certification body that issue the certificate.
